DESCRIPTION: This will be an unforgettable hike, where we cross the Andes and the jungle of the Region. You will visit archaeological sites as Lugma, Rosas Pata, Ñusta Hispana; small towns such as Yupanca, Lucma, Consevidayoc, Vilcabamba and as a reward we will visit the archaeological site of Espiritu pampa considered the last refuge of Manco Inca who unable to continue the fight for recovery empire fled to the jungle. At the same timewe can also appreciate the variety tropical vegetation including beautiful orchids; Likewise variety of colorful birds like the cock of the rock.
* Note: We need a minimum of three people to book the tour.
DAY 1: Cusco – Huancacalle
Very early we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco in our private transport, bound for the province of the Convention, where we stop to take our breakfast. After a break we continue the journey to the town of Huancacalle, for lunch and camp.
DAY 2: Huancacalle – Vilcabamba (Vista Alegre)
This day after breakfast we will start our walk with a visit to the archaeological sites of ÑustaHispana and Rosaspata, where we will feel the different climates (variety of ecological zones) and also interact with the people who live in the small typical villages of the area. After to contact our horseman, we continue the trek to theVilcabamba village;lunch, dinner and camp.
DAY 3: Vilcabamba (Vista Alegre) – Concevidayoc
Very early we start our trek toward the Colpaqasa pass located at 3696 meters, and then descend to the town of Cedrocasa. In this way you can appreciate the daily life of the population and partly of the landscape of the Peruvian Amazon; breakfast, lunch, dinner and camp.
DAYS 4 y 5: Concevidayoc – Espiritupampa
During these two days, we walk through the rugged geography and parallel to the CONCEVIDAYOC River and other streams, in this way we will observelush vegetation and typical local houses; breakfast, lunch, dinner and camp.
DAY 6: Espiritupampa – Chihuanquiri
This day our goal is to reach and visit the archaeological group of ESPIRITUPAMPA the last Inka refuge, crossing the jungle; breakfast, lunch, dinner and camp on the site or after walking a few more hours in Chihuanquiri.
DAY 7: Chihuanquiri – Kiteni – Quillabamba
Today we will take a public transport to the city of Quillabamba, after a rest we will have free time to visit the city and then spend the night in a hostel; breakfast, lunch and dinner.
DAY 8: Quillabamba – Cusco
We enjoy our last day, in the afternoon return to Cusco, arriving at the next day. This program has the level of an expedition of adventure and is flexible in camps according to the physical condition of the passenger.
