DESCRIPTION: Perfect for all those who want to experience some of this world famous walk. This road was restored in 1996 and covers a distance of only 10 km. This circuit is especially recommended for families with children or older couples.
LIMITED SPACES: To protect the historic trail, the number of people allowed to hike the Inca Trail each day is limited to 500. For this reason, you should reserve your spot as soon as possible. Spots can be sold out three to four months in advance. Spots fill more quickly in the high tourist season, from May to September.
ACCLIMATIZATION: Please allow a minimum of 2 days in Cusco before your hike begins.
Note: We need a minimum of two people to run the tour.
On the first day, we will come in one of our private vehicles to pick you up very early from your hotel. We will take you to the train station called Poroy. On the train, you will see mountains and landscapes. After three hours, we will get off the train at the trailhead, at the marker called “104 km,” and begin the hike.
The first archaeological center we will visit is called Chachabamba, at 7,170 feet or 2,170 meters. Then, we will gradually ascend for about three hours to reach the archaeological site called Wiñaywayna. Your guide will give you a history lesson, and then we will have lunch. We will then continue through the semi-tropical forest towards the sun gate, where you will stop for an amazing panoramic view of Machu Picchu. From there, we will descend until reaching Machu Picchu. You will have some free time before taking the bus to Aguas Calientes, where we will have dinner and spend the night.
On the second day, we will wake up very early to take the first bus to Machu Picchu. At Machu Picchu, your guide will give you a thorough three-hour tour. You will have some time to explore by yourself before taking the bus back to Aguas Calientes. There, we will enjoy our last lunch before you take the train back to Cusco.
Our Service Includes:

- Entrance fee to the trail and Machu Picchu.
- Bus ticket from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes, and round trip bus ticket from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu the second day.

- On the first day, we will provide you with a snack and lunch and then we will have dinner in Aguas Calientes. The next day, your breakfast will be included at the hotel. The lunch on the second day is the only meal that is not included.

- Good sneakers or light hiking boots, and one pair of flip-flops or light sandals

- Camera
- Rain gear (especially if traveling in the wet season, from October to March)
- Comfortable hiking clothes, including warm clothes for the nighttime
